Alright, as most of you are aware, when it comes to quotes (movie, music, et al), I have far too much fun. Well after coming across this site, let's just say I'm getting a lot of laughs in. And to quote the Dread Pirate Roberts, "Good work. Sleep well. I'll most likely kill you in the morning." (And counter quote from Louis, "You'd wait until morning?")

The following performance is set to Fozzy's "Genie in a Bottle" and can be listened to here

Since it's been a while since I gave you all a real performance, as only a few saw the one in the closing party, I decided I'd post this here for all of you. I hope you enjoy.
I can make your wish come trueCollapse )

Mama they won't take me seriously
They show me the door
but they hold back the key
I ask myself what is wrong with me
Do they see something I don't see?

I know you told me, not to take from strangers
But I am preoccupied with the dangers
and respect among thieves
There's a piracy on the high seas
And I am held for trason here
with no reasons clear, that I know

The old house by the late
A split was so apparent
An imminent break
How could I've known
I was just a kid
I was only doin'
Just what I was told

And I know you told me, not to take from strangers
But I am preoccupied with the dangers
and respect among thieves
There's a piracy on the high seas
And I am held for treason here
With no reasons clear, that I know

What do I know?
The seeds don't grow
Through my broken home
What do I know?
I don't want to grow old alone
What do I know?

Mama they won't take me seriously
They show me the door
but they hold back the key

The fog was dense along the river tonight as I leaned on the railing. Given my vision it was not difficult at all to pick out certain details along the shore, but no mortal would have been able to see more than about five feet from the ship. One of the benefits of a night such as this was I could dump my prey overboard and by the time anyone went to find out what the splash was from, the river and fog would have already engulfed them from sight.

The year was 1874 and I sat kicked back in the chair, my feet propped up on the railing with my hat, which apparently was called a "Gambler's hat" by the locals, pulled down over my face. The sounds of the paddlewheel moving water was all that could be heard, outside of the occasional muffled conversation as people would walk by. A full moon graced the sky, dimmed only slightly by the lights from the paddlewheeler.

Was listening to this song the other day. Made me grin, I'd forgotten about it, but also have been interested in the legend of Jesse James, Billy the Kid, etc for some time now, so we'll slip that in here too.

Just like Jesse JamesCollapse )

Which set do you associate more with? Odd numbers, or even numbers? Or does it not matter to you at all? Do the numbers 2 and 4 "feel" any different to you than 7 and 9? Or are they just numbers that you feel hold no meaning?

For myself, I'm attracted to the even numbers more than odd. Why? I've not a clue, though if I had to answer with something, it is simply that they "feel" like they have a power. Shrugs I know we have many who study upon such things and dabble in aspects of nature that I couldn't claim to begin to understand... what is your take on the power of numbers?

My thanks to Ursula for finding this site. I find my "poem" perfectly corny and yet... given my nature for double meanings, it becomes quite amusing.

Night Ritual

Around, all around, the shadows gather.
My dread grows as the stroke of death falls against my heart.
It severs me, and darkly my
essence drips
to the cold, uncaring tombstones.
In a frenzy I cry out
while oblivion follows.
Now alone, my supplication falls upon darkened eyes.

This is my salvation.

As most of you know, religion does not play into my life. That does not mean I will shun research and inquiry done on the basis of such, just as I will not shun astrology and tarot. Sometimes, the answers you receive are worth the look.

My thanks go out to HellKat for doing a bit of research on what I have always considered my "Lucky Numbers"... if you believe in such things. I find the answers quite interesting given questions I've held about concepts within my life. The book referenced is, Doreen Virtue "Angel Numbers".

10=You're receiving Divine guidance from God through thoughts, ideas, insights, or what's called claircognizance (knowing facts without knowing how you received the information). Stay positive about the messages you receive.

14=Angels are helping you manifest your positive thoughts, affirmations, and visualizations into reality.

Now, for those of you who have always raised your eyebrow at me and asked me how it is I knew certain things about you without being told... according to this, I was apparently given the claircognizance by God. Interesting, is it not... that such a devil has the abilities? Grins
